Welcome to the Marine Hills Architectural Control Committee (MHACC) Frequently Asked
Questions Section of our web site.
It is the intent of this section to provide “typical”
answers to commonly asked questions.
Question: What are the steps to be followed
if I have reviewed the FAQs and determine that my problem is not a private issue
with a neighbor?
Answer: Be sure to review items best handled
by the City of Federal Way. They could easily have the answer to many of your questions.
The laws have changed recently which give them significant power over certain types
of issues.
Then:
|
1. Regardless of your situation, concern or question your first
obligation is to familiarize yourself with the covenant covering your property by
using the following link http://MHACC.net/CovenantGeneral.aspx.
Most covenants have
the same or similar language for most of your questions. The MHACC, through its
mandate by all covenants, has approved the wording about specific items appearing
in these FAQs.
2. Your next obligation is to attempt to resolve the situation yourself.
The MHACC is a community-elected all-volunteer committee that covers 550 residences
in Marine Hills and therefore has limited time to deal with specific issues that
it does not need to become involved with directly.
3. If you have a problem related
to your property and believe it should be handled by the MHACC, your next obligation
is to contact the MHACC Property Monitor. The best way is via the following link: http://MHACC.net/ContactTheMHACC.aspx.

|
a) Describe the problem,
b) Explain what you
have done to try to resolve it, and
c) The specific solution you desire.

MHACC that people check these FAQs for an answer to their questions before contacting
the MHACC using the “Contact Us” link provided. If for any reason your question
